The two volumes consist of the photographic reproduction and the diplomatic transcription of 137 parchments dating back to the Swabian-Angevin period, kept in the library of the Archbishopric of Patti (Messina). A treasure of invaluable resources is finally at the disposal of scholars and researchers. Two more volumes will be released: the first one, edited by prof. Vera von Falkenhausen, devoted to the Greek and Latin parchments of the Norman period; the second one, edited by prof. Paolo De Luca, covering the documents from the Aragonese period up to the epoch of the Martini.
